Our attractions in the North Wales borderlands cater for a wide range of interests and hobbies. You can explore the outdoors and wildlife in one of our country parks or stay indoors and visit one of our many museums, castles, churches or exhibition and craft centers. We also cater for the more adventurous with canoeing, motor safari, shooting, ice skating and horse riding activities. For more information on our attractions or to download e-vouchers visit www.borderlands.co.uk/attractions08.
Nantclwyd, opened in 2007 after a painstaking restoration, is the oldest timbered town house in Wales. Each of its seven main rooms represents a different era. Each meticulously dressed and furnished in the style of the day. And each with its own vivid insight into the lives of its occupants.
Many of our other attractions also bring the past into focus. An old gaol, a magical well, the remains of lead mines and ironworks, Britain's smallest cathedral. Others are bang up to date. Indeed Techniquest@NEWI, with its live science shows and hand-on exhibits, offers a tantalizing glimpse of the future.
